RAM

Icelandic sheep are descendants of the ones transported to the country by the first settlers. For centuries, sheep were vital for people’s survival and were utilised to the hilt, with use being made of their meat, milk, wool and even horns. Rams have bigger horns than ewes and various items, including stirrups, rope-buckles and drinking horns, were made from ram’s horns.
